In this year, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) plans to advance aero-science in the space industry. The space organisation is planning for the first human space trip "Gaganyaan," and its first mission of uncrewed "G1" is slated to be launched in the latter quarter of 2023. Chandrayaan-3 is expected to launch on the GSLV Mk-III in June 2023. The astronauts chosen for the Gaganyaan, the nation's most advanced endeavour, have already been identified and are presently completing mission-specific training in Bengaluru. The intended launch date for the flight is the fourth quarter of 2024.
Dr. Jitendra Singh, a Union Minister, remarked Because crew safety is so important, two Test Vehicle missions are scheduled before the "G1" mission to show how well the crew escape system and parachute-based deceleration system work in various flight scenarios. The flight's objective is to evaluate the effectiveness of the mission control, communication system, human-rated launch vehicle, and orbital module propulsion system. A humanoid will be the mission's payload.
Before the final human space flight, or "H1" mission, in 2024, the second unmanned "G2" mission will be launched in the second quarter of that year. Singh had stated in December of last year that the "Indian H1 mission, the country's first human space journey, is slated to launch in the fourth quarter of 2024." They have finished their first semester of astronaut training, which included modules on theoretical foundations, space medicine, launch vehicles, spacecraft systems, and ground support infrastructure. The training of the crew also includes regular physical conditioning workouts, aeromedical instruction, and flying practise.
Dr. Jitendra Singh stated, "Based on the learnings from Chandrayaan-2 and suggestions offered by the national level experts, the realisation of Chandrayaan-3 is in progress," in a written response to a question posed in the Lok Sabha in February 2022. Launch is set for August 2022. Many pieces of connected hardware have successfully passed their unique tests. The mission, however, was pushed back and put on hold until 2023.
The corresponding evaluation and assessment tasks were finished as well. Crew training is currently in its second semester, the Minister continued. A new Test Vehicle for testing crucial systems was also created as part of the Gaganyaan programme. On November 18, 2022, the crew module deceleration system underwent a successful "Integrated Main Parachute Airdrop Test (IMAT)" at the Babina Field Fire Range (BFFR), Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. In addition, India is getting ready to launch Chandrayaan 3, the replacement for its most successful lunar orbiting mission. The mission has been postponed as the ISRO continues to test the rover, which is anticipated to be more durable than the previous two missions. The orbiter from Chandrayaan-2, which had impacted the moon, would be used for the expedition.
